Darren, Richard and Andrew visit our Cape Town colleagues 

Last week, Darren Redmayne, Richard Lane, and Andrew Runicles travelled to the stunning city of Cape Town, South Africa, to visit our Affinia colleagues based there.  

It was a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with our colleagues, with both business and pleasure on the agenda!  Initiated by Richard in early 2023, Affinia now has nearly 10 people in Cape Town / South Africa that are fully part of our Audit service line, supporting our UK client base (and we believe this could potentially double in size over time given our wider growth as a firm). 

On the business front, we discussed our plans for future growth and development of Affinia and our South African operations. Additionally, this trip marked the formal transition of leadership of the team from Richard to Andrew. For pleasure, our wonderful hosts, Greg Tomaselli and Sol Ferreira, who oversee the South African team, guided us around the city, introduced us to some delicious South African cuisine, and kept us on our toes with a game of Padel and hike up Lion’s Head.  

Richard, who is passing the baton to Andrew, said, “It is always a pleasure to meet the team here. You can’t help but fall in love with the culture, the community, and the country. Under Andrew’s leadership, I look forward to seeing further growth in both financial terms and the range of services we offer.”
