IT Transition: Launch of Microsoft Teams
Firstly, thank you to everyone for your patience and participation in the Device Reconfiguration project which has run throughout the offices over the last few weeks. As a reminder, all IT tickets should now be raised via Utilize, using the below details:
Telephone: 0333 006 9060
Email: service@utilize.co.uk
Portal: portal.utilize.co.uk
As part of the ongoing project, Microsoft Teams has now been installed on everyone’s devices.
We will therefore start to migrate over from using Zoom for virtual calls to TEAMs. This migration will happen over the next month and we will shortly confirm the date for the closure of Zoom.
Over the next few weeks, could we please encourage you to start to use TEAMs for making virtual calls, setting up client meetings and to send instant messages to your colleagues. Please note that the use of Teams needs to adhere to the company communications policy.
Please do speak to David Edwards or your local Business Support team if you need to obtain a headset to make virtual calls.
3 Top Tips to get started with
1. @Mention someone in search to send a quick message

All you have to do is @mention someone in the search bar at the top of your page, and you can send a quick message to them without leaving your current window. You are able to search for and chat to colleagues from across LB Group and RE Group.
2. Blur your background
There may be a few things in the background, or people walking past, which you do not want visible in the background.

3. Use keyboard shortcuts
Keyword shortcuts make tasks simpler and faster. It carries out commands more quickly without you repeatedly looking up the menu.
Some useful Windows keyboard shortcuts are:
Ctrl+E – search,
Ctrl+Shift+M – mute,
Ctrl+N – new chat,
Ctrl+R – Go to the compose box
