Crochet club update
An update from IPS Crochet Club! Next club date… Wednesday 19th June.
We have almost all finished with the star-shaped coasters, and were able to recently start our next project: Pokeballs! We have already completed 2 sessions on these so far, and the crocheters at IPS are really speeding through the pattern…
Our current list of crocheters : Becky Barker, Megan Hunt, Jonthan Butcher, Abbie Bennet, Christian Parker, Puiver Chan, Sara Stevenson, Greg Warner, Julie Weighill.
What can I expect at crochet club?
The crocheting equipment is provided by LB, and small snacks are also provided. Crocheters have the option to take their project home or work on it in their own time, or it can be left in the cupboard for the next session.
We are currently running our club monthly, and changing the day of the week each time to ensure that as many people can attend as possible. The next session will be a continuation of Pokeballs (although anyone new can still join in and start!) and will be on Wednesday 19th June in the Burley room at Ipswich (during lunch, 1pm to 1.30pm). Although, if anyone feels like crocheting in between our sessions then we encourage doing some during lunch, as a good way of taking a break from the screens ?
…And for our next project, we will be working together to create crochet bunting! Using the LB colours of blue and white, we will each make a unique bunting triangle which we will connect and use to decorate our staff wellbeing/mental health wall here in the office. I love our lunchtime Crochet sessions, it is a good way to have a break from the screen and socialise with some of the team. Thank you to Megan and Becky for organising these sessions. ?
