I love a podcast how about you?

I am a regular listener to podcasts and audio books, both in the car and while out running. I hate wasting time and love doing two things at once, this relatively new media ticks all the boxes for me.
I would like to start a regular feature where staff recommend podcasts they listen to, as, I don’t know about you, but I tend to listen to the same programs each week, and don’t often seek out new titles. Having said that, this week I had a quick look at the top 10 podcasts to get some new ideas. I found “The Diary of a CEO” hosted by Steven Bartlett and I chose the episode where he interviews Anne Boden, the co-founder of Starling Bank. Now, I bank with Starling, and I follow Anne on Linkedin, I had a preconception of how the bank was started never having read the story. This interview is quite a raw production compared to the larger players in the podcast market but is interestingly a frank and honest account by Anne of the difficulties she encountered as a co-founder at the dawn of the business. Definitely worth a listen, please let us know what you think by posting a comment below.

Not very business related but I have been binge listening ‘Quickly Kevin will he score? The 90’s Football Show” for the last 6 months and I’m still not up to date. Definitely helps me tap into my 90’s football nostalgia on the drive into the office.
Thanks Simon, maybe I need to listen to more team sport podcasts. I literally don’t have a clue on this topic. Thanks for the tip, I will give one a go!
