Our Community: Kids Inspire

This festive season, Hannah Clark in the Chelmsford office is arranging a collection towards the Christmas appeal for Kids Inspire with a view to delivering these on Thursday lunchtime.

With the cost of living being overwhelming for many families at Christmas, Kids Inspire believes that every child deserves a special Christmas. This is why for the past 15 years, the charity has successfully run a Christmas Appeal to source, wrap and deliver presents, and hampers, to nominated children and their families in Essex.

In 2023 they provided:

• Over 700 families received a festive food hamper
• 2,850 young people from across Essex received gifts

How can you help?

There is an area set up in the Chelmsford kitchen for donations from the following –

New gifts for children – such as games/puzzles/books/stocking fillers for all ages

Hamper items, such as:

• Mince pies (check expiry is to Jan 25)
• Tea / Coffee / Hot choc / Marshmallows
• Biscuits
• Box of chocolates
• Savoury biscuits / crackers
• Chutney, pickle or jam
• Share bag crisps

They only accept complete hampers, but we will gratefully accept any individual items from the list above and collate these into hampers.

If you cannot get to the shops / deliver to Chelmsford and would like to donate cash, then please just let Hannah know who will be happy to collect cash and arrange further donations. The company will also be making a donation as our community charity support this festive season.
