Sync SharePoint Files to Your File Explorer & Using Sheet Views

Sync SharePoint Files to Your File Explorer

We recommend you access the Group Databases using the following process – Using this option, the database will perform more efficiently.

1. Open the Group Database SharePoint Page Group Databases – Home (sharepoint.com)

2. Click the Sync Button below the Documents Title:

3. Click allow on any pop ups that come up.

4. Go to your File Explorer, near the bottom above This PC, an LB Icon should have appeared, if not, wait a minute or two and try Syncing again if it is still not showing.

5. You can then click the arrow on the side to show you the SharePoint Folders that will correspond with Group Database Documents to navigate and open the files through your desktop applications (Word/Excel). The documents opened this way will all have Autosave on, this should be left on to ensure updates are saved.

Using Sheet Views

Using Sheet Views, you can save your most commonly used views to avoid having to filter the database every time you open it.

1. Go to the View Tab, the first section on the left will be the Sheet View section.

2. Apply any filters that you want to use to the table using the drop down arrows in the Title row. Ensure you Select ‘See just mine’.

3. This new View will show as ‘Temporary View’ in the Sheet View Section. To Save the view click the Keep Button. It will then change to View1, you should now rename this view to something more memorable. Click in the Box and Type a new Title.

4. To Remove your view and go back to the default, unfiltered sheet, click the Exit Button.

5. To then reapply your saved sheet view, use the drop-down arrow and select the view.

Do not delete any saved views, as this is a shared sheet, everyone’s saved views will be listed.

Many Thanks,
