Amazing work everyone!

Recognition was given to….

  • Freddie Scott-Yates, Accounts Assistant at Ipswich received an Instant Reward for adapting to clients needs and provided great results with jobs coming under budget whilst retaining a high standard of work.
  • Danielle Annan, Business Support at Chelmsford received an Instant Reward for her commitment and dedication during the Chelmsford office refurb, demonstrating our new company values RIALTO.
  • Both Mollie Ogden, Semi Senior Accountant and Lauren Mallett, Senior Accountant at Colchester received Instant Rewards for working together and running management accounts for a complex client with a very tight reporting deadline, with very little management involvement.

For newer members of the team, an Instant Reward is our reward system where a manager can nominate a team member for their hard work and/or going above and beyond in their role.  

The team have been busy with photoshoots!….

Many of you have been modelling for team photography this month, which we’ll be using on the Affinia website. A huge thanks to everyone for your involvement and Maddy Pickup and Maddie Orrow from our marketing team look forward to seeing those who have ‘shoots’ planned for February.

  • On January 14th we held our first Payroll service line client facing webinar, jointly with EBCam Ltd, on Optimising Employee Benefits & Navigating the P11Ds Changes. Ninety-two clients participated and overall feedback was very positive. Well done to all involved in executing this highly successful webinar!
  • A quick reminder of our new Financial Services referral process with our colleagues at Shackleton, who offer broad range of Financial Adviser Services, including Pensions, Mortgages, Protection and Investments. More info about Shackleton and the referral process can be found here. We’ll be keeping track of the referrals and the value this adds to our clients.

Our Digital Solutions team shared some exciting news in their newsletter….

  • We’ll soon be launching our outsourced bookkeeping service, which will provide clients with real-time financial insights, compliance peace of mind, and streamlined financial processes. Watch this space for further updates.
  • Emma Cohen recently attended the Dext Roadshow, speaking on a panel about how Dext has transformed our clients’ businesses. The discussion highlighted how Dext streamlines expense management, automates data capture, and provides robust reporting tools.

Community

Cuppa for Cancer: Our Colchester office are taking part in the Cuppa for Cancer fundraising event. Would your office like to get involved too? You can find out more about the fundraiser and charity here. Please keep the marketing team in the loop if your office takes part.

The Just Giving page is now open and accepting donations.

Fire Walk: In November Becky Barker, Anna Godbold, Jonathan Butcher and Oscar Hammond from the Ipswich office and Charlie Hammett, Holly Heslop and Fay Young from the Colchester office completed a Fire Walk to raise money for Mind Mid and North East Essex, a local mental health charity. Our brave volunteers raised over £300 for Mind:

A huge well done to all involved for supporting these charities.

And finally, bringing our 3 Cs together: Affinia!

Last but my no means least, we announced the date for launching our new brand, Affinia, which will be week commencing February 10th. Anyone currently with an LB Group email address will have an Affinia address from 10th February. GWC, NSO and RE Group staff will also receive an Affinia email address. Dyer & Co will move to Affinia in April. Baxter & Co & Clarkson Hyde will keep their existing branding, becoming ‘…..part of Affinia’. They will move over to Affinia in phase 2 of the brand roll out. Details will be shared in due course.
