Digital Accountancy Show:

Becky has put together a summary of our recent visit to DAS below.

The Cloud Accounting team and a few other members of Affinia took part in the Digital Accountancy Show (DAS) at the start of this month. This event showcases current and emerging apps and technology for finance professionals. This year there were 150 exhibitors and 8 stages of talks to choose from.

It was so great to see what software is out there and what could potentially improve how we do things at Affinia. A couple of interesting talks we attended included “Why client payments is the most overlooked opportunity in accounting tech” and “How to use AI to empower your team (not replace them)”.

The use of AI is an exciting and fascinating subject, and the Cloud Accounting team have started to embrace this change by looking to implement an AI-powered tool called Xbert. The DAS event provides the opportunity to meet new, like-minded people as well as those we currently work with.

It was a fantastic 2-day event surrounded by technology, lasers and great people!
