Some incredible hard work has been taking place across the Group recently resulting in exciting news to report this Monday morning!

LB Group ranked in the top 3 of 50 SME UK Apprenticeship Employers

On Thursday 25^th July, during a special live broadcast – including an interview with the new Baroness Jacqui Smith Minister for Skills, Apprenticeships and Higher Education – it was revealed that LB Group has ranked 3^rd overall in the Top 50 SME UK Apprenticeship Employers!

There were two categories overall, including the Top 100 for larger employers, and a total of 800 entries this year – a highly competitive process and last year saw us rank 13th – an incredible uplift of 10 places in 2024.

The rankings are launched annually during National Apprenticeship Week, and there is no judging panel or voting. Instead, the criteria is based on the number of new apprenticeships that have been created over the last 12 months, the diversity of these apprentices, and the number of apprenticeships who have successfully completed an apprenticeship over the past year.

In September, our People & Culture team will be invited to a very special lunch at the House of Commons to receive our certificate on behalf of the Department for Education which will be displayed proudly across our office sites!

Fun LB Apprenticeship facts:

• Nearly a quarter (23%) of our staff are apprentices – with 8 more apprentices joining us during Aug/Sept!
• A third are female and almost a third (31%) are black, Asian or ethnic minority

LB Group up for 2 prestigious awards at the 2024 Accountancy Excellence Awards

The finalists of the prestigious Accounting Excellence Awards 2024 have been revealed with LB Group announced for two prominent awards: Employer of Year (Medium to Large Company) and Progressive Audit Firm of the Year!

From the officiators: “Finalists for these awards are an incredible group of forward-thinking accountancy firms, teams and individuals and their hard work, passion and expertise were evident for our judges to see, and thoroughly deserve to see their name in the spotlight”.

Criteria to enter included written descriptions and submission on hallmarks of a progressive audit firm, achievements, our NPS score/staff engagement and training and development strategies.

Congratulations to all the teams involved. The awards night will take place on Tuesday 8^th October at The Roundhouse, London so keep eyes peeled for future updates!
