Introduction to South Africa Audit Team

As you may know, LB Group encompasses office sites currently spanning London and South East of England, with offices in Stratford, Chelmsford, Colchester, Stanway, Ipswich, Sidcup, and Harlow.

But did you know that some members of our core audit team extend further afield in South Africa too!

You may already work closely with the team out in SA, but to enable you to get to know the team more personally, the team have prepared a few introductory bios featuring their professional experience, hobbies and interests.

Emma Reinecke

“My name is Emma Reinecke. I was born and raised in East London, a coastal town of South Africa. After finishing High School, I moved to Port Elizabeth, another coastal town only 3 hours away, to complete my studies. Once completed, I moved back to East London to work for PwC, where I obtained my Chartered Accountant qualification. Since then, I have gained international experience working remotely for mainly PwC Washington and RSM US.

I am an extremely family orientated person, and I am fortunate enough to see all my family at least once or twice a week. In my free time I enjoy taking Layla & Ollie, our two Great Dane dogs for a walk, going to gym, spending weekends away with friends & family, baking, and cooking.  I also love fancy dress parties and Christmas is by far my favourite time of the year!”

Caitlyn De Oliveira

My name is Caitlyn De Oliveira, born and raised in Cape Town, South Africa.
I completed my Chartered Accountant qualification in February 2024 at EY Cape Town. Outside of work, I enjoy walking my dogs; Potter, Patches and Rolo, playing padel, and reading. I am a huge Harry Potter enthusiast; I currently have 3 Harry Potter inspired tattoos. I have thoroughly enjoyed working for LB Group thus far and look forward to what the future holds.

Dawid Pretorius

My name is Dawid Pretorius, I live in a in a small town right in the centre of South Africa called Bloemfontein. I obtained my accounting degree and post graduate qualification in accounting and went on to complete my Chartered Accountant qualification in 2020 at Nexia SAB&T, a medium tier firm. Since then, I have continued auditing in South Africa and internationally in Toronto and New York. I am a family man with two kids (a 2-year-old daughter and 4-month-old son). In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, camping and hunting.

Johan Roeloffse

My name is Johan Roeloffse, I was born and raised in Bloemfontein South Africa, where I still live with my wife, baby boy and two dogs.

I started and completed my articles at Nexia SAB&T while doing my accounting degree part time through the University of South Africa.

I have 6 years audit experience in various industries, including listed, SME’s and government audits.

In my spare time I like to go camping and travelling and watch the beautiful African sunset.
I consider myself very family oriented. I’m a positive and passionate person by nature, and enjoy working with like-minded people, and have thoroughly enjoyed working for the LB Group thus far.

Marelize Greyling

Hi there, my name is Marelize and I have been a South African small town girl most of my live. I grew up on a farm located outside of a small town, Koster. I moved away to pursue my Chartered Accountancy career and after more than 8 years found myself back in my hometown.

Prior to joining LB, I worked at PwC SA for 3 years, whereafter I joined Makosi, where I constantly shuffled between virtual audit projects with different audit firms (i.e. EY, GT) in various countries (US/UK/AUS).

I really enjoy spending time on the farms and very much welcomes the quietness, freedom and simplicity it has to offer to my life.

Liezel van den Berg

I am Liezel van den Berg and I live in Pretoria which is South Africa’s capital city and houses the parliament building.

I have been working at LB for a year now and loving it.
I worked in a very similar role before joining LB also mainly focusing on UK & Europe based clients which I feel helped me adapt to the culture of LB nicely.

I am a mom of three very busy boys that keep me very busy outside of work. We enjoy spending time together as a family doing activities, playing sports or just staying at home and enjoying family movies.
