Welcome to the June edition of the Audit newsletter. This month we’re covering:  

Hotels & Hospitality: sector focus  

Affinia, as you may know, has a vast amount of experience and in-house knowledge in respects to the hotel and hospitality sectors, so we thought a brief summary would be useful.   

We work with a range of clients, from 5* hotels through to big, branded chains and this is an area we are keen to grow as a service line and group. Our team provide a range of services, including statutory audits, financial advisory and tax advisory services across a number of areas. Our industry-specific expertise provides an opportunity to support and add value to our clients’ businesses, as well support them with compliance services.

Working with our South Africa team  

Charlie Stokes, Audit Manager in Harlow, had some lovely feedback to share about working with our South Africa team:   

“Caitlyn assisted as a remote senior on a first-year audit client and we have recently had some feedback directly from the FD, Jane Evans, commenting on how impressed she was with her. Jane commended Caitlyn’s professional and direct approach and said she was very personable and friendly to deal with. Bearing in mind this is a local Harlow client just around the corner from our office, the client was positively impacted by our SA resource. This is great, as I think the fear of losing that personal touch is perhaps a factor holding some people back from making the referral.”

The Audit team is growing!  

We are personally delighted to have welcomed several new team members over the past couple of months. Their impact and arrival marks a new period in the audit service line that supports and compliments our ongoing growth.
