Welcome to the February Audit update! 

We’d like to start by saying a huge congratulations to two of our team on their recent promotions: 

Emma Bartlett to Associate Director  

We are delighted for Emma to have achieved her promotion.  Emma has shown tremendous commitment to the firm and clients over her years with us as she has developed from a trainee to now an associate director and audit board member.  In her new role Emma, in addition to her sizable client responsibilities, will be across the audit service line with a focus on audit quality and staff training.  – Mark Middleton 

Gemma Chan to Associate Director

A closer look at our Education & Academies offering 

Since joining forces with Baxter & Co in Orpington, we are delighted that we now have a dedicated team providing audit and accountancy services tailored to the needs of educational trusts.   

Academy Trusts allow state schools greater autonomy and flexibility. These trusts are non-profit organisations responsible for the management and governance of one or more Academy. They are subject to rigorous financial oversight and are held accountable for public funds they receive.  

The audit and accountancy landscape for Academy Trusts is particularly complex. The ever-evolving regulations, funding requirements, and governance structures require a deep understanding of the sector.  

Our team specialises in navigating these complexities and can support educational trusts with financial statements and audit through to governance and compliance, helping them to thrive in an increasingly complex environment.
