Annual Leave

We are quickly approaching the summer season and it appears there are still employees with high levels of annual leave to take.  This has been discussed with local Managers who will be in contact with you all regarding this (if not already done so). A reminder of this will be going out on the LB Loop as a separate post on the 6th June. All employees should be booking their annual leave on Retain AND Breathe please.

Breathe

Please can we ask all employees to review their personal information on Breathe to ensure the data we have is correct.  You can make any changes to your profile and these will come through to HR to approve.

Content for the Intranet

We are always happy to receive suggestions for content on the LB Loop.

If you have taken part in raising money for charity, or perhaps you would like to share your knowledge on a particular subject that you’re interested in outside of work, we want to know.

Trainees: The importance of completing JAF’s

Completing JAF’s should be something we are all used to by now.  These are essential in assessing the quality of the work you are producing and is part of good practice.  These are important and should be a priority in assessing your own performance please.

Trainees:  Your commitment to your studies

LB Group are committed to providing you with the tools and resources you need to grow in your career.  We want to develop your skills and knowledge to become the stars of tomorrow!

In return, our expectations and commitment of you are:

  • Attend all courses unless exceptional circumstances prevent you from doing so (in which case you should alert your line Manager as soon as possible).
  • Maintain professional standards and commitment to studying whilst attending courses (as well as in the workplace)
  • Commitment to studying outside of working hours in order to achieve the relevant qualification.
  • Express a desire to pass your exams and advance in your career.

Failure to attend courses, continually resit exams or failure to comply with the above may result in disciplinary action.

On a related note, breaks in training should not be agreed unless this has been discussed with HR.  This should be for exceptional circumstances only where a time period is in place before returning to your studies.

Your Apprenticeship forms part of your employment contract and this is an important point to make.  We hope all Trainees take their commitment to their qualification and development seriously, as we support you in your career at LB.

If anyone wants any confidential support, please speak to your line Manager or HR.

More on this can be found in section 32 of the Company Handbook found on Breathe, under ‘Company Documents’.
