Requesting IT access for overseas travel

Over the last few weeks, we have had many alerts from the Utilize service desk to say certain users accounts are being logged into from overseas. These have been identified as staff who have logged into their accounts whilst abroad on holiday. This is not an issue, but our current cyber security policy blocks access to our corporate infrastructure & services from overseas.

Therefore, if anyone is going overseas and needs access to the Affinia IT environment you will need to raise a service desk ticket to request you can be added to the foreign access security group to allow access and do your work. This should be done at least two weeks before departure.

Information required in the request is as follows:

  • Full Name:
  • Job Title:
  • Department:
  • Country or Countries visiting:
  • Date of arrival in the country:
  • Date of Return to the UK:

This will then be sent from the service desk to the internal IT team to approve so that we have an audit trail for our cyber security reports.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact David Edwards.
