Community Engagement // LB Group backs local community initiative Story Street

Every year, the Group seeks ways to engage and partner with local and charitable causes and initiatives. This enables us to add much needed funding and support where it is most needed, and demonstrates our commitment to making positive impacts to the local communities, in and around where we are based.

When we were approached by not-for-profit organisation, Discover Children’s Story Centre is the UK’s first Story Centre, based in Newham, Stratford, we were bowled over by the creativity, enthusiasm and dedication this team give to provide a safe, creative and cultural space for children aged 0-11 and their families.

Each year, Discover Children’s Story Centre creates interactive exhibitions and creative play spaces designed to inspire children’s curiosity and imagination and help improve reading, writing, speaking and listening skills for children. Through interactive exhibitions, Discover creates the perfect space to immerse families in the worlds of their favourite authors and illustrators, from Michael Rosen to Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler to Judith Kerr.

This fantastic space is dedicated to inspiring children’s curiosity and imagination, as well as enhancing their reading, writing, speaking and listening skills through interactive exhibitions and creative play spaces. to attend build new friendships and have fun!
