WhatNot Productions case study: Watch if you dare!

Anna Middleton and the team have been delivering accountancy services for our client WhatNot Productions on an upcoming documentary for Apple TV, ‘The Enfield Happenings’, which is due to premiere on 27th October 2023.

The project

The team got involved with Whatnot Productions from the infancy of this production.  This came as a referral from previous work Mark Middleton had completed for the parent production company. The Director of the production company was looking for a Production Accountant who could help with this new project, particularly as COVID had meant their project was beginning in an unusual way. They had been struggling to find someone who could manage the project remotely and our team had the capacity to do so.

We stepped in and have worked closely with the Producer since then to provide the Production Account support. This has involved weekly payment runs, bank reconciliations and VAT reporting.  As well as updating and management of a cost report and subsequent reporting to the funders – Apple TV.

Anna says, “It’s been a great project to be part of.  Being flexible and building a good working relationship with Lyndsey, the Producer, has been fundamental in making the project successful.  The most enjoyable part from my perspective has been to see a project through from start to finish, I can’t wait to go to the premiere in a few weeks’ time!”

The show: The Enfield Poltergeist

Set in London in 1977, experience the chilling true story of the world’s most famous poltergeist case through original audio recordings made inside the house as the events unfolded.
